Hello, Environmental Health Advocates and Activists on the Oregon Coast!
In the next coming month, the Environmental Justice Task Force will be holding its very first meeting in Newport Oregon. The meeting will take place on September 7th & 8th at the Newport City Hall.
September 7th from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm is a public forum for the EJTF to hear what are the communities concerns when it comes to Environmental Justice.
September 8th is the EJTF meeting itself where there will be a public comment period for the public.
We want to encourage anyone who can attend to please do so, everyone's voice is important for this meeting. I have attached an email invitation that can be sent out to community members who you think should attend, it is in both English and Spanish.
Here is the Link to the Facebook event. I also want to mention, if you or anyone you know will be traveling from at least an hour away to attend the meeting we can compensate you for your travel expenses. Please let me know if that will be the case.
